Pre-Sales & Installation Questions

Is this a keyless system?

No. The ignition key must be used and turned on to activate the Cart Key.

How many codes can the Cart Key have?

The Cart Key supports up to 5 different access codes at one time.

Will the Cart Key work on my older golf car or customized golf car?

Your golf car dealer will know if the Cart Key will work on your car. Some manufacturers and models entail more detailed installation.

Can I purchase and install the Cart Key myself?

To ensure reliability, we prefer to have our authorized dealers provide sales and installation services for end-customers.

If you represent a company or organization, we can train maintenance teams on how to install the keypads on your fleet of vehicles.

I do not have a dealer near me. How can I purchase?

Programming & Maintenance

How do I reset the codes after purchasing a car with Cart Key already installed?

Make sure you are given the master code to the keypad before purchasing. Then use the programming instructions to reprogram it to your preferences.

What is the difference between the Primary Code and a User Code?

The Primary Code is used to add, change, and delete codes. If a User Code is used, no modifications to the programing can be made. Please refer to the programming instructions for more details.

Can you reset the Primary Code?

Yes, but it is highly recommended to add a User Code before resetting the Primary Code. DO NOT attempt to delete the Primary Code or try and change the Primary Code to any combination of the 0/1 key. (i.e. 0000, 0001, 1001, 1111, 0100, etc.). Please refer to the programming instructions for more details.

What happens if you delete or forget the Primary Code and do not have a User Code programmed?

This is the security of the Cart Key. There is no way to reset the Cart Key if the Primary Code is deleted or forgotten. A new Cart Key must be purchased. Please refer to the programming instructions for more details.
